Stage V, introduced by the European Union as Regulation 2016/1628, serves as an emissions guideline for non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) equipped with spark or compression ignition engines. This regulation is designed to diminish the release of particulate matter and other harmful substances. It represents a progression from prior standards and necessitates the incorporation of control technologies, like diesel particulate filters, in new NRMM to comply with the set emission limits.
